ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

At St. Luke's, we are growing disciples of Jesus Christ, expressed in our abiding love for God and neighbor,
through worship, study, service, and witness. We are a welcoming community that provides many opportunities
to explore and experience the abundant life God offers us in Jesus Christ.

All are welcome at St. Luke’s. We believe God's grace is available to all people, that's why our communion table is open to all. We truly believe in the United Methodist Church’s principle: Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors. As a congregation, we seek to spread the light of Christ into our surrounding communities and the world. We treasure time spent with each other and seek to serve God in all that we do.

We are a United Methodist congregation within the Illinois Great Rivers Annual Conference.

HOW WE'RE ADAPTING TO THE PANDEMIC

If you’ve missed us on Sunday, we encourage you to listen to the sermon online.

Our education ministries for all ages are ongoing! If you have questions or would like to get involved in one of the Sunday school classes or small groups, contact the office.
We are still finding ways to build relationships and promote spiritual growth through prayer and shared study.
No matter our age, we all need encouragement along our faith journey. Encouraging and mentoring each other along our journey of faith is one of the hallmarks of St. Luke’s UMC, and we hope that you will join us.

Many of our in person mission and outreach opportunities had been put on pause, but they are on their way back!

We also actively support the ecumenical Maryville Outreach Center. For more information about volunteering at the Outreach Center or for information about the Food Pantry, Grandma's Attic, or Residents' Assistance program,
